Mini-Champions AGE 3 AND UP
La Faucille-Mijoux-La Vattay International Ski School Mini-Champions are very young learners or beginners. They are divided into groups according to their age and their ski expertise. They start skiing on the learning ground in front of the chalet, until they can join a group on the runs. Children's reception is done at the chalet.

For the youngest (3-5 years old)
Lesson
The lesson includes: the reception, the warming-up, the ski session, the break with a snack and the return to the parents. Teaching is adapted to the children's age and level.
Equipment
No ski poles needed ! Learning skiing starts with a balancing exercise. Children must put their weight on their legs, thus poles are not necessary at this point. Regular skis are necessary because of their safety bindings.

Lesson's end
When parents come to pickup their children, they have to wait for the teachers to be ready. Instructors have to look after all the children and make sure that the children are given back to their parents.
You are late?
If you arrive in the middle of a lesson, please wait for an instructor in the reception area. Do not cross the learning ground or let your child join his group alone.
The learning ground

The learning ground is especially designed for the different levels of the children. It is groomed every day. There are four ski lifts.

The children train on the learning ground until they are able to ski on the runs. They will be allowed to change groups and be part of the Maxi-Champions.

Before skiing on the runs, the Maxi-Champions will warm-up on a specially designed part of the learning ground.

Maxi-Champions
Maxi-Champions are students who are able to ski on the runs. They must have in their jacket's external pocket a tag with their first name, last name, ski level and coordinates of their parents and/or persons to contact in case of accident.
WARNING : Reception changes!
Maxi-Champions groups MAXI-VERT meting point is at the chalet.After reception and the control of their ski level, MAXI-VERT groups leave the learning ground with their instructors to ski on the runs.
The meeting point of the MAXI-JAUNE, MAXI-ORANGE and MAXI-VIOLET is in front of our Office.
Ski lifts
Lesson's prices do not include the ski lifts (they are located outside of the learning ground) nor the insurance or the rescue assistance fees. Ski lifts are free for the children under 5, but require a pass. You must get a free ski pass at one of the station ticket booth for your child under 5.
Return Picking up children
The Maxi-Champions groups place of return is at their meeting point. The instructor gives back the child to his/her parents. The armband and possibly the ski-pass are handed back to the instructor.
Ski poles
Poles are mandatory when the kid reaches the MAXI-ORANGE level during his Maxi-Champions progression.

Private Lessons beginner to advanced
Your friend or family have the same ski expertise, enjoy private lessons. It is less expensive and more fun !
You can make reservations at the ski school, or phone us (during the season) or send us an email.
The rates for ski school lessons do NOT include either lift-passes (except for the beginners' area in front of the chalet), insurance or any charges for emergency aid.
-Under 5's are eligible for a free lift-pass which must be collected from the main ticket office ("caisse")
-Over 5's MUST have a valid lift-pass, unless only using the beginners' area in front of the Club MinichampionsThe reduced price lift-passes sold with lessons should be collected from the ESI Office and are only valid during lessons.
